Happy Birthday, my son!

Balen is now 1! He survived his first year with our family, despite our best efforts. It's been a wonderful year that has gone by much too fast. We got a video from Mommy, and here's the video of Balen watching it a second time. The first time he was locked on the screen and actually waved back to Mommy at the end. I'll play this several times over the next couple days. He's already seen it 5 or 6 times. But he hasn't seen it on the big screen yet... [evil laugh]. What a blessing. We love him bunches, and he hasn't failed to bring a smile to anyone. No need to send gifts, however, if you want to, adding money to his college fund is always nice, especially this early in the program. Think of all the interest it'll earn! In other big news, we found out yesterday that we have to move this summer. All our efforts to get Michel into a local school failed. We are looking at schools in Ohio now, centered around Dayton (that's where AFIT is) and that will mean one place for 4.5 yrs or so. Much better than the 2 we'll have had here. Another option is Colorado for 1.5 yrs, then move to Ohio. Not ideal, but the ideal place to live if we have to move twice. We'll keep you guys updated as soon as we know more.
