"I see dead people!"
Um, yeah, so now it's the update that I would do "tomorrow"... yeah...
In any case, here are two pictures of Abigail "I see dead people" Allain. In case you are wondering, which you should be, because you haven't been around here; Michel taught Abigail that line to further her act. With this costume, and her performance saying "oooooOOOOoooo" at Michel's work Halloween party yesterday, she won the title "The Most Convincing Costume" and a little block building game. Michel made Very Yummy Mummy Dogs (hot dogs wrapped in breadstick dough) which are cool looking, and tasty!
Since Michel is producing another human being, I took Abigail around the block with some neighborhood kids. It turns out it was Daddy's night, as another wife is heavy with child, and we were hunting down the truth of the rumor that a certain house would reward thirsty chaperones with a beer! (relax, you think I would imbibe while walking Abigail around in 45 degree weather? if you said yes, you may have a free get out of any punishment card. But do keep in mind I had to keep switching it from hand to hand to preserve my core body temperature) In case you were wondering, we did find him.
What was I talking about? Oh yes, sweet, innocent children who were sweetly, innocently yelling at each other and racing ahead to determine who would be the leader. After allowing the conflict to continue, and after counseling a very precocious 5 year old, who was in tears, about the unimportance of being the leader, and realizing how impotent I felt in achieving that goal, decided to alphabetize the kids, and have them rotate leadership from house to house. Military was good for something, eh? At that point, the night went very smoothly, the children were very diligent in sweetly and innocently keeping each other in their places, and we enjoyed our beers. Oh, and the kids got lots of candy, which apparently is very heavy, despite the future joy of having such a bounty at home. The candy was very often, very loudly, very insistently heavy. All in all, Abigail had a great time, got makeup all over me during the post harvest cuddle, and has another pile of candy with which to exercise her parents' patience.
So, if you haven't already looked at the pictures first, which I'm sure you have, because you have no self-discipline and must be punished (be sure to tell the next person you see to punish you in whatever way you see fit [now's a great time to use your card!], for your impulsive, indulgent behavior), here they are:
